IV International Congress of Youth for Researchers
Since its first edition in 2020, this congress has progressively strengthened its presence both nationally and internationally, aspiring to become a leading meeting point for young researchers. To facilitate the participation of researchers at any stage of their academic career who reside outside the island of Tenerife, the association Young Researchers of Tenerife (JINTE) has decided to launch the present call for travel grants. These travel grants are intended to help cover part of the expenses associated with participation in the IV International Congress of Young Researchers.
The purpose of this call is to encourage and facilitate the participation of researchers who do not reside in Tenerife in the IV International Congress of Youth for Researchers. This event will take place in person at the University of La Laguna on October 1, 2, and 3, 2026, with the aim of promoting the dissemination of scientific contributions and increasing the visibility of the research work of the participants.
Researchers who do not reside in Tenerife and who have submitted a paper for this congress can apply for travel grants if they meet any of the following requirements:
2.1.- Pre-doctoral researchers who can prove their current enrollment in a university doctoral program, as well as students working on their Final Degree Project (TFG) or Master's Thesis (TFM) who also demonstrate their current enrollment.
2.2.- Postdoctoral researchers and research technical staff who can prove that they are currently pursuing their research career at a university or research center.
2.3.- Any individual who, without being associated with a research center or university institution, can prove that they are engaged in research activities at the time of application.
In this call, applicants will be allowed to apply for only one grant. The grant will consist of a fixed amount specified in this document and is compatible with others granted for the same purpose by other sources of funding. The number of grants awarded will be determined based on the applications received and the available budget. Furthermore, the amount of each grant may vary in order to accommodate the different profiles of applicants and the budgetary resources available.
Amount of grants according to the geographical location of the applicant:
4.1.- Applications for this grant can be submitted from the acceptance notification of the proposed abstract, June 16, 2026, until the registration deadline, which is July 16, 2026.
4.2.- The application must be completed using the form available at the following link:

4.3.- The application must be accompanied by the following documentation, which should be included in the web form provided for this purpose:
4.4.- Those interested, in order to be accepted, must fulfill the requirements established for participation on the date of the deadline for submission of applications.
5.1.- The Organizing Committee of the Congress will be responsible for processing the applications and applying the criteria for allocating the grants. It may also request the correction of submitted documentation if necessary.
5.2.- In the event of a budgetary shortfall that prevents satisfying all admitted applications, the applications will be evaluated according to the following prioritization criteria:
The resolution of this call will be communicated via the email provided in the application. Therefore, it is recommended to check emails after the congress registration deadline has passed.
The beneficiary must respond to the email confirming acceptance or renunciation of the grant within a maximum period of 10 business days from the day following the notification of the granted aid.
If the beneficiary wishes to renounce the grant outside the established period, they must inform the Organizing Committee as soon as possible through the same communication channel.
If a beneficiary renounces the grant or the Organizing Committee cannot confirm their participation and attendance at the event, the waiting list will be followed to assign the grant to the next person until the budget availability is exhausted.
Once the grant has been awarded and accepted, and the participation and attendance at a minimum of 80% of the event has been confirmed by the Organizing Committee, payment will be made via bank transfer.
The submission of applications in accordance with the provisions of these terms and conditions implies the full and unconditional acceptance of the requirements and obligations contained therein.
